Sri Lankan booked ticket but operated by Mihin Lanka; Can the miles be counted towards AA’s Oneworld
Hi Lucky,
I have recently booked a flight from Bkk to Mahe, Seychelles via CMB with Sri Lankan Airlines. However, my flight from CMB to SEZ will be operated by Mihin Lanka. And I have AAdvantage account open, so I’m wondering if miles from CMB-SEZ rt trip can be counted towards AAdvantage miles?
Thank you so much
Have a nice day
Pam
Well Mihin Lanka is not listed under partners

Or codeshares.

And I found a post on Flyertalk from last year that claims that this flight can only be credited to UL frequent flyer program.

So I fear the answer is no.
That said there is plans to merge Mihin Lanka into UL, but no date has been set.
