Saturated Upgrade Lists

Saturated Upgrade Lists

  1. Anonymous Guest

    Hi Ben,

I’m AAdvantage Gold and have noticed upgrade lists have become extremely saturated on the last 6 domestic flights I’ve taken over the past month. For example, I fly the BOS – DCA shuttle flight frequently and usually never have an issue getting upgraded. The upgrade list over the last month has been around 30 people long.

Did the completion of the American-US merger grant status to an exceptionally large number of people?

Well, in ways, because more people have the option to upgrade, though this is also a very busy time of year for business travel, and more and more people are meeting the elite thresholds as we get closer to the end of the year.
