How to benefit from JAL Sapphire status?

How to benefit from JAL Sapphire status?

Hello, I typically attribute most of my miles on any airlines to Alaska. I am trying to build up miles with them and status. But I have a long way to go.

I hold Etihad Gold status but haven’t traveled with them in the past year. I also got a status match with Cathay Pacific to Marco Polo Green using my Etihad status.

I recently traveled on Japan Airlines for business and they have offered to status match me to their Sapphire status which equals oneworld Sapphire.

I have an upcoming trip to Sydney that I have not booked yet. I might also be traveling to India later in September. I booked an award flight from SFO to SYD on Cathay Pacific & return from AKL to SFO on Fiji Airways for Dec 2017/ Jan 2018.

I have an SPG Amex card and Chase Reserve card if that is relevant.

I am trying to understand how I can make best use of this status. Is there a way to benefit with this status while still continuing to attribute miles to Alaska? Thank you in advance for your help!
