Collecting Skywards points as a Finnair/OneWorld member.

Collecting Skywards points as a Finnair/OneWorld member.

    Hi,

I’m travelling first time on Emirates (J class) on christmas week and I am Finnair Plus Silver membership. I know that I can’t get Finnair points by flying Emirates, but Emirates is a partner w/
    – Alaska
    – JAL
    – Jet Airways
    – Jet Blue
    – Korean Air
    – Qantas
    – Siberia
    – South African
    – TAP
    – Virgin Am.

As I tend to use One World partners more than others can I get an advice should I join (f.ex.) the JAL program? or should I just join Skywards program and get the 15 000 skyward points, because skywards reward flights starts at 15 000, so if I end up flying Emirates again sometime soon, I could redeem my points for a (short) award flight.

Any tip and advice is appreciated. Thank you.

    Welcome.

I would say neither, join Alaska Mileage Plan instead if you ever go to the US or are planning to.

Alaska is also one of the airlines that frequently sells miles at discount
