Hi,

Just wondering with the Stawood merger what that mean for my American Express. I automatically get a SPG Gold and am wondering what will happen will I get a status match or will I lose all SPG/Marriott privilege.

Should I phone A,ex Platinum.

If you have Marriott Gold you’re now also SPG Gold, based on [URL=’http://onemileatatime.boardingarea.com/2016/09/23/marriott-starwood-points-transfer/’]Lucky’s post from this morning[/URL]. I’m not clear on what your question is regarding your Amex Platinum card. If you can elaborate a bit we’ll be happy to help.

My question is will I get a status match to Marriott gold from my SPG Gold. The thing is I did not stay 25 nights in a Stawood property, I get it automatically on the account of having an Amex Platinum.

Yes, you should. I have SPG Gold Status by spending enough on their Amex card and I received Marriott Gold when I did the status match.
