JG77 New MemberHi, the deadline of my AA status challenge (Platinum) is on June 17. I am wondering whether the Elite status starts once you earn enough of elite qualifying miles (even before June 17), or on/after June 17 (when the challenge ends)? I’d like to receive additional Elite bonus points for my upcoming trips, and this information will determine when they should be booked. THANKS!

Somebody correct me if I’m wrong but I’d think the status would kick in as soon as you’ve met it, regardless of when the challenge ends.

I met my challenge just a couple of weeks ago. Status was updated as soon as the flights and EQMs posted
