AA Status Challenge Question

AA Status Challenge Question

  1. andrewe11 New Member

I have an AA Challenge question that is kind of situationally specific, but I don’t know where else to get the information so I thought I would see if anyone here has input:

I previously applied for and was accepted to the Founder’s Card AA status challenge with plans to start it this month due to travel in the new year. I also managed to get in on the Mastercard World Elite Cardholders AA Status challenge, where you only need to fly (2) round trip flights, before it was pulled down. I called their service reps and they confirmed that I was still eligible even though the offer has since been pulled from their site.

    My questions are:

Am I eligible to opt into both offers or are they competing offers where I can only choose one?
-My thought process is, if I can do both then I could confirm the Founders Card status challenge to get immediate status and then do the Mastercard challenge to get the status match easier with just two trips.

If I can do both, would signing up for the gold status make the Mastercard challenge to get platinum status easier (so that I would only have to take two domestic flights as an “existing” gold member instead of 2 international flights) or would that not count as an existing gold member status?
