What are the transit procedures in MLE for CX J: MLE-HKG-EWR?

Hi Lucky, I noticed that you booked CX J for MLE-HKG-EWR earlier this week. I booked two of these tickets, and wondering if you know what the transit procedures are in MLE (ie, mandatory clearing immigration upon arrival @ MLE).

The first ticket (leaving in a few weeks), I am positioning to MLE on CX 602, then immediately taking CX 601 back to HKG with 75 mins between the flights in MLE (I won’t have any checked bags). Hoping I should make the flight.

The second ticket, I am positioning to MLE from the Middle East and have a 7 hour layover before boarding CX601 (checked bags, two separate tickets). What would be my options to pass time at MLE?

    Thanks for your input 🙂

@ Rich — I have no clue, sorry! I’m headed to the Maldives soon so can report back, but as of now I don’t know yet.
