Transiting Ahmedabad Airport

So I took advantage of the low SQ fares to EWR out of AMD. I have a CX F redemption out of BKK to get home but I couldn’t pass up such a great opportunity to get on the world’s longest flight. My plan to get to AMD from BKK is to book an SQ Y award for 18.5K Krisflyer and pretty much depart on the same plane that brought me there.(I’ve done this plenty of times on QR out of CAI, even with the nightmare transit that can be). Wanted to know if anyone has had experience transiting AMD, if it’s as simple as walking off my flight and to the transit desks like say in HKG. Or is it like or similar to CAI?

Hi Peter. Lucky has an article about his flight through AMD on the website today.

I quote Sean in the comments:

Stick with the AI flight into AMD as that operates from the international terminal. Transferring between terminals in Ahmedabad is a nightmare.
