Taxi vs Hotel Car Service in Beijing

Taxi vs Hotel Car Service in Beijing

  1. Anonymous Guest

We are a family of three (two adults, one 11 year-old child) with three large suitcases arriving in Beijing on a Friday afternoon at 3:30pm. Flying Emirates, but, because we booked our biz class tickets using miles, we are not eligible for the chauffeur drive service 🙁 I am nervous about fitting us all in one taxi and the taxi driver being able to find the St. Regis! In your opinion, is it worth it to have the St. Regis pick us up vs a taxi? Am I fretting over nothing?

Hi Brenda! In your shoes I’d book the car service, as it sounds like it will reduce a lot of stress for you, and shouldn’t be that expensive.

Yes, there is also a lot of guarantee with the hotel car as if something goes wrong you know who to complain to!

Most taxis in China are SMALL and cant fit much luggage. Booking the hotel car will be easiest, as long as you let them know you have big bags. If it’s too expensive, I’d break up the party – 1 adult with 2 large bags in 1 taxi, the other adult, child and bag in another taxi.
