Qatar visa question

Qatar visa question

  1. yaboobie Member

My Itinerary requires me to transit through DOHA for over 24hrs.

Im a little confused on how to obtain a visa through qatar airways or hotel. or visa on arrival? the websites arent really making too much sense to me.

I have my departing flight out of the country on qatar, but havnet booked my arriving flight yet.

The thing is that im not planning on arriving in Qatar on Qatar airway s flight. only departing on qatar flight.

    Hmm, have you tried this?

    Yes ive looked though this.

It states “Confirmed tickets for a journey into Qatar and the onward journey out of Qatar must be on Qatar Airways ticket document. Both the flights must be operated by Qatar Airways.”

Im not planning a QR flight into Qatar, only outbound.

    My intended inbound is LH.

Personally, I’ve always gotten the visa on arrival (though admittedly, I was always staying for more than 24 hrs.) That said, if you are from one of the countries on the list David W just posted (I dont want to assume you are from the US), I would think you’d be fine getting it when you arrive, even for a transit.
