MIA JFK MIA seat chart

MIA JFK MIA seat chart

I booked a R/T ticket on AA about 4 months ago for October travel. I noticed today that the seat chart shows no available seats on either of the two flights (which is ~impossible). Does anyone know what the airline is up to? I can imagine that future flights need to be consolidated, etc. Was wondering if there was any information from someone. TY

I had that same thing happen to me, every seat was X ed out on the AA seat map. I had a message on the app saying there was a change to my flight and to check back to see what the change was (in the past any change was displayed, you could see it). I had to cancel that flight as part of cancelling a much larger trip to Asia. If you figure out whats up or what happens let me know, just curious.

@Mikewarren1000 I just checked my flights for October and the Seat Maps are now showing a more “normal” layout with assigned seats as of today.

Hey Rob did your flight number change by any chance? Was talking to someone who had this happen to them with the seat map totally being X’ed out and then 2 days later it was back but the flight number had changed. So maybe while the flight number issue was being resolved the seat map went black. Same routing just a flight number change.

The flights changed a few weeks ago (mind you I purchased ticket back in January when it was a 772 and now 737). But, just recently the flights did not change (to answer your question) when I first posted this. Just today, I noticed the new seat charts.

Weird for sure. As I said same exact thing happened to me but I had to cancel the flight anyways. Thought there would be more 772’s and 787’s domestic now in light of Covid but not sure that is the case. Was looking at a flight to DFW that is usually a 789 and its totally gone. And then also from Lax, the Mia daily widebody is not there everyday but when it is looks like its 772 not the 77W it often is. If I cant fly now at least I can pretend to be making trips lol
