Best Airline for the Sydney (Australia) to Amsterdam return flight? Currently Using an alternating mix of Qantas and Emirates. I usually detour in to BKK for a week holiday on the way over or the way back. Qantas being an underwhelming experience and Emirates flights whilst a better end customer experience, are just totally packed. Sliver level membership with Qantas and Emirates. Worth giving Qatar Airways a go? Usually flying coach. Usually book flights with Australian issued Platinum AMEX. TIA.

If you’re indifferent to service in Economy across airlines, any of China Southern, China Eastern, or Air China will probably be cheapest. Cathay and Singapore, and maybe Garuda Indonesia have one-stop service, other than the Middle Eastern 3. If you want a stay in Bangkok, you should look to buying separate SYD BKK and BKK AMS flights as that might turn out to be cheaper for you and give you more options
