Hi,

I’m relocating to Singapore for work and I’ll be entitled to a business class seat in connection therewith.

My initial flight searches landed on several Lufthansa itineraries, but I’d like to know, based on your extensive business class experience, what would be the best product out there for YUL-SIN.

Are you looking for a paid ticket or an award? There really arent that many decent one-stop options from YUL but I think Lufthansa, Swiss and Turkish are great options, with Turkish being the best option for Business class. YUL seems to have seasonal LH service to FRA so if you can connect there and get on an LH F ticket for FRA-SIN, that’d be quite an experience.

If your willing to add a 2nd stop though, it opens up your options! Cathay Pacific, Etihad, Emirates, etc.

I’m willing to have 2 stops if the product is great. I however see that Qatar has service from YUL. Any thoughts on that?

This is a new aircraft driven suggestion. BA 787 to London, transfer to Helsinki and Finnair A350 to SIN. This is a published fare. Not sure when you are going but your boss will be happy with the price, AY is very reasonable in Asia. You could even do it with a transfer in HKG then CX to Singapore.

EVA Air the other way or even an Air Canada 787/ANA combination that way are possibilities. All have excellent J products.

LH business class is hit or miss. I wasn’t impressed with Swiss although they fly their new 777 out of YUL. TK is good but you’ll be on overnight flights and the 2x2x2 seating might not be what you want. Food is great.

Options are good!
