WAS-JNB using AA miles in Biz

WAS-JNB using AA miles in Biz

What are the best metal options (most recent retrofits or new metal) for Nov2016 trip to JNB from WAS using AA miles in business and/or first? Would like to transit thru or stopover in LHR but BA fuel charge makes that difficult and expensive. DOH or AUH other best options on Qatar? Also heard of people going via GIG or GRU to JNB. Dates are Nov1-17 2016. Thanks for any suggestions.

@Flooritt as you can see at http://onemileatatime.boardingarea.com/2014/06/08/american-aadvantage-award-routing-rules/ the only transits allowed between North American and JNB are either in Europe or DOH so EY would be out unless you are OK paying for two awards.

I believe IB restarts service to JNB in Aug 16 so that might be another option with more palatable surcharges.
