Using QF points to updgrade on AA
Hi there. Can I use Qantas points to upgrade on American (domestic). I am QF Platinum. If so how? I live in the US
Welcome @NJN – did you buy the ticket through AA? If so I don’t believe you can use QF points to do that, though someone please correct me if I’m wrong.

I am fairly certain you are correct – if it is an AA ticket (001), the only way to upgrade is with AAdvantage miles. (Or SWUs, BXPs, or complimentary upgrades).
Thanks @MidSouth Skier and @OCTinPHL. The ticket will be purchased via AA, but I am not a member of AAdvantage. I am using my QF FF# in the ticketing, which allows me to accrue QF points and status. But I am reasonably sure there is no way to actually use QF FF points to upgrade on the AA flight.

Unfortunately, you are correct.
