Using BA Avios on Alaska

Using BA Avios on Alaska

Can someone please clarify for me if I were to book YVR (Vancouver) to SNA (Santa Ana, CA) using Avios on Alaska if that’s considered two separate awards (of 7500 Avios each?) because there are no direct, non-stop flights? Or is it still going to be only 7500 Avios total even if we had to stop in Seattle? According to the flight miles it’s ~1,112 Miles from YVR to SNA. Thanks!

It’s gonna be two awards, one for each segment. I thought maybe if you found a single flight number all the way through it could count as a single flight but on the random day I checked, all the flight numbers were different for each segment so it’s two awards.
