Using Avios for AA flights
For the past 2 days I’ve been trying to book an AA flight using Avios points. When I search, the flight shows empty seats, lets me enter my credit card info but then when it goes to finalize the reservation, I get an error message. I called Executive Club and they said there is an issue with the AA system and they can’t do anything, even when I call. They had no timeline for when it would be fixed. Any workarounds? My flight is Saturday.
Have you tried to get them to book it over the phone? There’s normally a fee to do so but since there are issues booking online they should wave it.

Yes, I called them and they said the system had been down. Just wondering if other people have had any luck

If it’s a known systemwide issue then you’re unfortunately going to be out of luck.
