using Alaska miles on American

using Alaska miles on American

    Hi Lucky,

    can I use Alaska miles to book award tickets on American airlines to Australia? I didn’t see the chart online so curious… if yes. How many miles for first and business for Sydney-LAX.

    Also, if I cancel an AA advantage hold, does it usually come back or it is totally random.

    Thanks
    rohit

    As of now you can’t — I’m not sure why it hasn’t been updated, but American doesn’t really release much saver/partner award space on that route anyway, so it’s a bit of a moot point.

    Sadly AS only allow you to redeem their miles for routes that have published charts, so no AA to AUS.
