Use for 50,000+ Citi ThankYou points?

Use for 50,000+ Citi ThankYou points?

I recently converted my Citi ThankYou Preferred card to the Double Cash since it didn’t make earning sense to have both the Preferred and Premier cards.

As a result, I have ~45,000 ThankYou points expiring in February 2016, and have access to an additional 80,000 points earned on the Premier I can tap into. Any thoughts on a good redemption option for these points? I’m based in New Jersey, and prefer to travel from EWR or JFK. I’ll be in South Korea and Japan in April 2016, but otherwise no other international travel plans for 2016.

Note: I don’t have the Prestige, so my redemption for travel booked on thankyou.com will be 1.25 cents per point.

citinoob – are you looking for destination suggestions? Maybe go to the EWR & JFK pages on airfarewatchdog.com to see where you can go for ~$560 (for just the 45K) or ~$1560 (for the 125K)?

Singapore Business/First to Europe would be a great option!
