    United says they will make an additional $300M from enhancements/updates to MileagePlus.

    Does anyone have any indication what this means?

    Probably nothing good but hard to know for sure what they have in mind. Could be further cost savings by reducing benefits or awarded mileage, increased monetization of status or direct mileage sales, new partner for the program etc.

    Large portion will be introducing basic economy fare and introducing better ability to upsell from there. Also focusing on high value and corporate customers to win back business they’ve been losing
