Transferring Chase Ultimate points to United

Transferring Chase Ultimate points to United

  1. Anonymous Guest

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I need to fly Asia to USA and considering using my Chase points via United (Star Alliance). The United website shows availability but they dont let you hold the booking anymore. So if I transfer my Chase points and then the availability disappears (or maybe was never really there and is bug in their database or something) then I am stuck with lots of useless United points that expire in 1 year or so.

Is there a hack for this or am I just better off using Chase points to buy tickets directly and avoid this risk?

    Thanks!

No hacks, just hurry fast! The transfer is instant, which helps.

Phantom space is less of an issue than it used to be, but I’d make sure you have a backup option just in case. If the flight you’re interested in is also showing on Aeroplan and the ANA tool it’s generally real.
