Tier Miles
Hi Lucky,
I am trying to help my parents check on Tier miles that my Dad acquired during his travels along time ago. Do the tier miles expire? The statement I am looking at was posted as of 11/28/1998. My dad is deceased now but my Mom wanted to see how this works if the account is still active, could she transfer them her? They don’t have a computer so I am just trying to help. It seems to me it could have been quite the amount of miles he had. I am their daughter. Would you please try to advise me what she would need to do and if they haven’t expired is it possible for her to transfer them to her for use. It seems from looking at the statement US Airways have now merged with American AAdvantage in April of 2015. Would that be who she would contact.
Thanks for helping because I do not travel and I have no idea how to help her.
Rhonda
You have to call American with your Dad’s US Dividend Miles number. However, miles do expire and there are fees to reinstate them.
