Ticketing Multiple AA Award Holds as one PNR

Ticketing Multiple AA Award Holds as one PNR

Hey everyone. Hypothetically speaking if I pieced together multiple AA award holds online that met the routing rules (let’s say I found economy saver space from DEN to LAX and then LAX to LHR in two different award holds) could I call up AA customer service and have them ticket the itinerary as one PNR without releasing the space, OR would they have to release the holds and then try to piece together the itinerary?

My primary concern is potentially seeing space online and losing that space because of AA wait times for customer service. It would be much easier to hold the space and then ticket the reservation without risk.

    Thanks

Nope, you need to have everything in one itinerary, Calling is a pain, but generally the 20 minutes to call isn’t going to cause you to lose space (though you could be unlucky).

I dont think I’ve ever been on hold with American for too long. Nothing beats Aeroplan’s hold times for me. (Well, Disney and the NY DMV does….)

If you want, you could try a foreign call center during off hours. I remember very short wait times for their AUS center when trying to get awards for Etihad.

When I’ve had complicated AA issues and itineraries in the past I’ve noticed higher competency phone help during normal working hours M-F. My weekend AA phone help has been spotty at best.
