SQ online suite award availability but not over phone

SQ online suite award availability but not over phone

  1. Anonymous Guest

    Hi all,

I found some JFK-FRA Standard Award availability for SQ Suite class on the Krisflyer website (130k miles one-way).

However, when calling into the US Krisflyer booking number the agent told me that “First class is closed” for all dates that I see availability online.

Does anyone know if this is phantom or a regular issue? Or if there’s another way to confirm? Don’t want to pull the trigger on transferring chase/amex to KrisFlyer before confirming availability.

    Thank you all in advance!
    Henry

I’ve never had a problem ticketing SQ space that shows available on the website. Typically, airlines don’t show phantom space for their own flights — it’s partner flights and miscommunication between the systems that generally leads to problems.

If you’re nervous, I would call back. Sounds like a not-great agent.

Hi Tiffany – thank you for the response!

I tried back a few times with different agents – all to the same results of no availability in Suites. I’m wondering if this is an issue with the change to their award chart and online booking discount on 03/23.

    Has anyone else encountered this?
