SQ KrisFlyer Mixed Cabin

SQ KrisFlyer Mixed Cabin

Recently I booked KUL-SIN-BNE round trip business class on SQ KrisFlyer, for 116k. KUL-SIN didnt have J space available so that leg is Y. SQ doesnt show mixed cabin bookings online, so I called. Everything went smoothly, and its ticketed with no issues

I’m trying to do the same routing, only this time, SIN-BNE is in Premium Economy. There’s no PE in KUL-SIN. This time, theyre telling me that because this is mixed cabin, they want an additional 7500 miles on top of the 90k round trip price, which is ridiculous.

Their award chart shows premium econ 45k one way for Zone 2 (Malaysia, Indonesia & Brunei) to Zone 9 (Australia exl Perth & Darwin and NZ). There’s an asterisk saying that certain backtracking routes price differently, but there’s no way KUL-SIN-BNE is backtracking AND i would have been asked to pay more for the first booking. The first agent said they need to work with a supervisor and call me back. I called again, got a different agent and had the same response. Am I missing something here?
