Singapore Waitlist question

Singapore Waitlist question

  1. Patrickj Member

I have enough miles to book 2 Standard Business seats on SIN. The Standard is available but saver is Waitlisted. If I book the Standard, can I still waitlist for the saver or since all my points are used for the Standard I can’t? If Saver becomes avaiable in First or Business, would they allow me to switch and refund the points?
Also, I have waitlisted a couple First itineraries so would those be cancelled since I don’t have the miles?

    Thank you,

@Patrickj you would need to waitlist the awards first because once the miles are deducted from your account you will no longer be able to waitlist. You could then block the standard awards and keep monitoring for saver space and just pay SQ’s reasonable change/cancel fees to switch the award.
