Singapore hkg-sfo sq02 no redmeption?

Singapore hkg-sfo sq02 no redmeption?

    Hi Ben,

I recall plenty of seats opening up on the hkg-sfo in F route in the past. They would withhold a couple of seats but generally release all seats as departure closes. I’ve noticed for the last couple of months and currently that there are very few F seats released even the same day as departure when there are plenty of F seats available. I’m using Krisflyer miles and in the past I was able to see a lot available 1-5 days prior to departure. Did something change?

Hung, I don’t have personal knowledge of this route but Ben wrote about it a little while ago (http://onemileatatime.boardingarea.com/2015/04/18/update-on-singapore-suites-class-award-availability-out-of-the-us/). Maybe one of the of the suggestions there will help? Keep in mind that we are in the busier travel time of the year with the holidays so it’s entirely likely that SQ is not releasing as many award seats.
