Ripped off???
Just discovered your site. I am a newbie to the game. Very recently booked a R/T flight to Hawaii ( Dec 10-14) on United thru AMEX Travel. Used Amex Reward points. They charged me 63,000 points for economy. Looking at info on your site seems I overpaid. Feeling stupid and a little pissed. Any quick tips or recommendations???
Cancel if you’re within the 24 hour window if AmEx offers that. Otherwise just have to chalk it up to experience. Tough to hear I know but it’s just part of life.

been there and done that. Figure out the value of your points…my value is 2c each. If a flight is less than that, then I pay normally. If the flight is more, then I use miles
I once used 238000 points to knock off 2380 off my 6000 flights to europe. I could have taken everyone for free…. I cringe everytime I think about it.
