I see a seat for SWISS business class on Sept 12. MIA-ZRH-BCN. 70k United miles plus $22. Transfer from Chase. I see return options on TAP Portugal or Turkish, also 70k United miles plus $47-$66.

For hotels, You can probably pay cash with your Capital One and then redeem points to offset the cost. Your 290k Capital One points is worth $2900 I think.

Its funny to read your post as your itinerary is much like mine and I live in Wilton Manors a neighbor to Ft Lauderdale.
