Problems booking Iberia travel with Avios?
I’m not sure if it’s just me but I have been unable to book Iberia travel with their Avios for this entire week. I called a bunch of times and they gave conflicting accounts but finally said they needed me to send them a copy of my passport(!) so they can verify my account and that could take a week or more. I had a perfectly functioning Iberia account before this week with miles in it and everything. Anybody else having this problem and do you have any idea what is going on there? Thanks,
Hi Mass – you will have better luck booking IBERIA with American. You will not find this online on the AA website, but if you can American and them them that you saw IBERIA seats on ITA Matrix with an AA or US Airways connection but it does not show on their website, and give them the exact details (have multiple options available), they will be forced to give you the seats + cannot charge you the phone reservation fee. Done this personally so I know it works 🙂 Best of luck
Hi Mass, that’s a toughie. Simply put, Iberia’s program SUCKS. They seem to always have issues like this, so can’t say I’m surprised… unfortunately.
