Possible to lose segment upon change?

Possible to lose segment upon change?

  1. Anonymous Guest

I have an upcoming award at the end of the month in the Etihad apartment from LHR. The only availability at the time of booking was LAX-IAH-LHR-AUH on AA-BA-EY. However, the connection in IAH is tighter than I’d like, so I’m waiting for better availability to LHR.

Is there a chance an Aadvantage agent could lose the EY segment if I change the other segments? Or can the other segments be switched out without ever disturbing the more important LHR-AUH segment?

In theory changing a single segment isn’t a problem. In practice, everything is more complicated when Etihad is involved, but if you’re not changing an Etihad segment, it should be fine.
