    I’m looking for award space to NZ in October and realize that may include routing via Australia on Qantas. I see one F award LAX-SYD on the Qantas and BA sites but not on AA or AS. I’m wondering if this is likely phantom space as I’ve seen that mentioned. I also find it odd that when the last batch of QF premium cabin award space opened, the latest dates opened ended a few weeks before I needed the space and yet this one date is showing a single seat in a premium cabin. I didn’t know if anyone else was looking in that time frame and/or what folks had been seeing.

    Hi midsouth. I indeed encountered similar last month. I saw a few Syd lax f options on the qantas website but very few showed up on AS where I wanted to book it. I never rung in and asked though.

    Btw my wife and family just flew the skycouch Air Nz direct flight from Ord to auk and loved it. Great timing. I haven’t seen any availability in j though, although I did see some via lax on air Nz and United. There is also sporadic Cathay Ord hkg akl availability but prob no more after the New Years “sale”.

    Occasionally I see the f qantas availability on as do it does exist
