Overnight Layover at DFW

Overnight Layover at DFW

  1. Anonymous Guest

    Hi Lucky,

I booked two first class award tickets from from CDG to SMF on AA in August. My flight was recently changed and I now have an overnight 15+ hour layover at DFW; unless I’m able to find a flight to SMF on the same day. The upside is that I’m now flying on the 77w instead of the 777, the down side is that I now have to figure out where i’m going to sleep at DFW. Are there any lounges that offer sleeping pods or do you have any recommendations?

    Thank you,

    Kate

Have you tried asking AA to see if they can open up award space on a flight that doesn’t show as having space? Airlines are often much more flexible when their changes are affecting travel.

Agree with @Gaurav, and getting AA to put you on a same-day flight would obviously be ideal. Otherwise I would probably get a hotel for a layover that long. The most convenient is the Grand Hyatt, but the Hyatt Regency is also close, and there are several other options as well.
