One way awards on EK with JALMB allowed?

One way awards on EK with JALMB allowed?

    Hi,
I’ve been slowly collecting SPG points to transfer to JMB to try and redeem EK first class from JFK-MXP-DXB-BKK as I read on an old post from Lucky (I recall it being about having 4 showers but I only have enough points for 3). I have never flown F or J before.

Anyways, I’ve never redeemed/transfered points for flights and I was looking at the JMB site before I transfered my 80 000spg->100 000JMB: https://www.jal.co.jp/cgi-bin/jal/partner_air/index.cgi and it says: “One-way trip is not permitted.” !! What happened? Did I save for years and now can’t redeem for a one way? Here Lucky says you can do one way: http://onemileatatime.boardingarea.com/2016/03/31/emirates-first-class-good-deal/ This is so confusing.

@Allan D Your link doesn’t work, but it doesn’t matter. One ways ARE allowed. Not sure where you got that they aren’t

Before you transfer anything make sure there is award space available.

    Thanks,
Maybe I was on the wrong webpage or something. Here is a screenshot of the link I posted earlier.

That’s multiple stopovers and an open jaw. A one way ticket is A-B. It’s based on the miles of the route. That is all you want. You could get a stop over in DXB, for example JFK-DXB-HKG on your one-way ticket, but you aren’t staying at 3 destinations.

Also, don’t transfer 80k points in one day or you will only get 95,000 miles out of it. the maximum SPG transfer eligible for the bonus is 79,999 points per day.
