Major issue trying to book Star Alliance award using KrisFlyer miles
I am trying to book a Star Alliance award using KrisFlyer miles. I have confirmed there are 2 F seats showing on both United.com and ANA. Here is the routing I am trying to do:
MSP-EWR in UA F (shows on United.com and Singapore can apparently see this)
EWR-FRA in LH F (shows 2 seats on United.com and ANA – SQ agent says there isn’t even one seat available)
FRA-MUC in LH J (shows 2 seats on United.com and ANA – SQ agents also say there isn’t one seat available)
MUC-SIN on SQ metal (this is available)
I asked if SQ could even see one seat and apparently they can not. So it appears there is an issue with LH space and SQ?
Has anyone had these issues before? It seems to me if there is partner availability showing on UA and ANA, SQ should be able to see it. For reference, I am calling the 213 area code KrisFlyer services number.
@Josh — I’ve been seeing phantom space on ANA lately, which is super annoying. Have you checked the Aeoplan site, by chance?
