Is it best to keep LATAM miles from an upcoming big trip with LATAM or Alaska?

Is it best to keep LATAM miles from an upcoming big trip with LATAM or Alaska?

We have a big trip on LATAM (B-class) coming up soon. Given the changes with Delta looming, would it be better to have the mile credit for this trip in our Alaska FF account , or leave them with LATAM, assuming the will become interchangeable with Delta sometime next year? Thanks

I would say definitely Alaska, as it’s easier to earn miles going forward, and you can use them on partners to Asia, etc. Delta releases very little award space to partners, and I can’t imagine the LATAM partnership will be any different.
