How to maximize use of ~90000 Citi ThankYouPoints to get flights between US-Asia?

How to maximize use of ~90000 Citi ThankYouPoints to get flights between US-Asia?

  1. Anonymous Guest

    Hello
I am looking to use my ~90000 Citi Thankyou points for redemption between Asia (Korea/Beijing) and US (LAX).
I was previously going to use SQ F in suite, but it seems that the flight out of LAX has been replaced by 777, which is not a comparable product to the A380 F suite.

For me id want to maximize time on the F/Suite class, so i prefer the long way.if you have anyother transferable miles either UR, MR, SPG that can supplement the 90k to singapore and make up 106,250.

Was the point of this booking just to experience the suite?
    You can book LAX-ICN- SIN-PVG.
With SIN-PVG in suite class for about 5 hrs or so. have a stop over in ICN for an additional $100, and getting to PEK from PVG is fairly simple with both a 5hr train ride or 1-2hr flight.

So you’re saying I should save up for more miles and try to book LAX-ICN-SIN-PVG, of which SIN-PVG will be suite right?
That’s an extremely expensive trip in terms of miles, especially given that I would have to find yet another trip for PVG to PEK, but I suppose it’s worth considering.
    Thanks for the input.

If I’m trying to just keep my itinerary same, like let’s say LAX-ICN or LAX-PEK (or the reverse), do you think I could find other products to use my 90K miles on?

I’m not too familiar with flyingblue but you should be able to book Korean air, either to ICN or PEK. Or maybe try Eva miles? Don’t know too much about them either.or possibly an Asiana redemption too. Check awardhacker.com or award ace. That will help you decide.

Thank you. Those websites seem really useful.

I was able to find that I might be able to use VS (Virgin Atlantic) to book ANA trips.
But the availability seems severely limited, almost impossible.
