How to contact BA?

How to contact BA?

  1. Anonymous Guest

    Team OMAAT,

I am a US based flyer, and booked an economy award flight using 65,000 BA Avios from MRU-LGW-JFK. After the flight was ticketed, I called BA and upgraded to Premium economy for another 39,000 Avios (104,000 Avios total, and yes, it was a terrible use of miles for such a crappy product).

Once I arrived at MRU for my flight home, I found out that the upgraded award flight was never ticketed, and I had to fly MRU-LGW-JFK in regular economy. I am desperately trying to get my 39,000 Avios redeposited for the upgrade that did not go through and was credited from my account.

All calls to the BA customer service and emails have asked me to call 1 contact number in the United States (312-843-5794) that seems to deal with Avios redeposits, yet in the last 10 days, the number always goes to a recording that due to “unforseen call volume,” they are unable to deal with any additional requests, and suggest that I email the very same account that forwarded me their information in the first place.

I am becoming increasingly aggravated, and will never fly British Airways again. Is there anyone who knows of a secret way to contact BA to deal with this issue? I am at your mercy.

    Regards,

    Jason

Try calling their UK number, you can use Skype for discounted international calling rates.

I’ve also had luck with sending a DM to BA and they’ve been good about calling me back. It’s worth a try.

Nothing to add Jason- but only to say that I will never fly British Airways again- either. We are One World Emerald and this BA airline is “not for me”. So, if anything- we are with you….. on this. British management (or something) needs a major overhaul.
