Honeymoon trip help!

Honeymoon trip help!

  1. Anonymous Guest

I’m not a big traveler but have 30-odd thousand points built up from doing a couple of trips from London – Hong Kong. I was planning on using them to upgrade to premium-economy on a London-Barbados trip for our honeymoon in October 2016. After price-watching for the last couple of months, all of a sudden Virgin increased the fare £150/$200 each! Ordinarily this is nothing new, but this is still within their “sale” which is due to end Feb 2nd. I’m really disappointed with Virgin & not sure how to proceed. 🙁

My points expire on January 30th (I’ve since moved jobs from the one where I did all my international travel) I know it doesn’t sound much to upgrade just to premium-economy but it was going to be a surprise for my fiancée to start off our amazing time together.

Has anyone any advice? I feel like I need to book now & use my points but it’s massively expensive.

    Hello Ciaran.

    Just a few quick questions.

In what frequent flyer program do you have the miles?

You are talking about flying on Virgin Atlantic?
