Hi all,

Just an FYI for those that haven’t been watching FlyerTalk, seems like for the last few days AA has been unable to book Etihad J and F award space even if you can see the GuestSeat on Etihads website and/or other Etihad partners e.g. Virgin Australia.

What was really interesting is that some of the US Call Centre are so uninformed that they actually told me that they have terminated their redemptions with Etihad (of course, they didn’t provide a date because that would make it seem official).

But, behold the miracles of the Points Collector community, there is a workaround devised for most, being that you dial the Australian or Singaporean AA call centre rather than the US team as it seems to only affect the US Call Centre.

Would be great to hear if this is limited to just people booking Australian award flights or if this is more widely reaching?
