Flying Blue Partner ATL to KOA (Kona HI)

Flying Blue Partner ATL to KOA (Kona HI)

  1. Anonymous Guest

Hi Lucky, I’m trying to use flying blue awards via KLM or Air France to book partner/alliance travel between Atlanta and KOA. The partner would be Delta. The Delta site shows plenty of award availability. I can’t get the KLM or AF sites to show these flights. When I call either of their desks, they show no awards for any day in Delta1/Business class and only occasional one direction but not round trip in economy. This is for travel most anytime in late January any of February or March 2019. Any hints on how to use Flying Blue awards to get from ATL to KOA during this time? Thanks

Are you sure Delta is showing “saver” level space that’s available to partners? Delta’s website shows varying prices and not all are available to partners.

Try to look for space on Virgin Atlantic’s website to compare availability.

I think I looked at VA.. will check again. How do you tell if there is a “saver” level award available.. I don’t see that listed on any delta award flights.. to that location or another.

Delta doesnt publish award charts any more so it’s hard to know what they consider “saver” awards that are available to partners, especially since nowadays there are awards that cost less than saver awards.

I *think* that if you see Delta economy to Hawaii for 22.5k, then it should be available to partners. Both UA and AA charge this for their own flights to Hawaii.

Guess I don’t understand why I don’t see any award seats on Flying Blue (AF or KLM), nor VA. I do see some odd availability on KAL.. (40 hours to get from ATL to KOA). I see plenty of availability on Delta. On Delta, most seats are 60,000 pts R/T in economy. I have checked random dates between now and March ’19 — nothing. I have also looked at ATL to HNL – same results.

60k rt on Delta is not a saver-level award, meaning it’s not available to partners. Only for Delta members.

Traditionally, Hawaii is tough on miles anyway.
