EY Guest booking AA flight
Has anyone had success adding additional segments in different fare classes to create a connecting flight on AA metal when redeeming EY guest miles?
For example, XXX-LAX in domestic first (two cabin), which is coded as U class and appears as business class to the EY agent, and LAX-HKG in first (three cabin int’l), which books into Z class and appears as first class to the EY agent?
Have tried calling the EY Serbia deck a few times and each agent can see availability, but have said consistently they’d need to book it as two separate tickets, one in U (25K miles) for xxx-LAX and one in Z (55K miles) for LAX-HKG. Might try to HUCA a few more times, but no luck so far…
That’s strange given that EY’s charts are AA are regional. Are they What if your LAX-HKG was also business? Can they ticket that?
