Etihad Business Awards Disappeared or glitch?

Etihad Business Awards Disappeared or glitch?

1. PhatMiles Member

I am looking for EY Biz Awards from JFK/IAD – AUH in October and November 2016.
Not specific on dates, but cannot see even a single date.
Are they taken or is it a glitch? Any ideas?

@PhatMiles have you tried checking some other routes?

Dont they have a history of releasing seats irregularly?

Could you book AUH-DOH on EY, then DOH-US on QR for now and then change if/when availability opens up?

I checked routes from pretty much all EY gateways in the US to AUH. Same with every route from Oct 15 – Nov 30.

But as @David W said, I looked DOH – AUH and they dates are plenty available.

Not sure what to expect. Btw, for these dates, I saw seats available on the JFK-AUH route 2 weeks ago.

It does come and go… maybe set an alert with wandr.me?

Yeah, I will do that. But just curious and also I seem to see a discussion on EY award seats all the time.

Also, how would you rate EY to QR on Biz?
Ideally, I am looking for NYC-AUH/DOH-HYD

QR would mean A350 service from JFK (one of the two daily flights) and EY would be A380 (one of the two daily flights). Both J seats have all aisle access but EY would have forward/rear facing seats and closer/further from aisle. QR has reverse herringbones. Not sure if EY gives pjs in J but QR does.

EY has a slight advantage if you’re traveling with a companion and want to sit close together.

Thanks David. I flew the A380 from AUH-JFK few months ago. They give pjs. I thoroughly enjoyed the flight, but my wife said the food is not great. She is a vegetarian and that limited her choices. But I liked their food.
I am actually looking tickets for my parents. They are not avid travelers. So trying to keep the itinerary as simple as I can. I forgot the fact QR operates A350 on this route.

Yeah, the A350 is fairly new on that route. Cathay via HKG is also another option (thanks to the updated AA award chart) but no PJs and it seem’s their catering isnt as great.
