Emirates or Etihad from Middle East to Australia?

Emirates or Etihad from Middle East to Australia?

  1. Anonymous Guest

    Hi Ben,

A question, which I think would make a nice blog post. I haven’t seen you review this route (may have missed it). I’m curious about Emirates F from DXB to Australia (MEL, SYD or BNE) one-way. I’d love to hear about what you think and more importantly how to award book it. The only reasonable way (short of having millions of EK or QF miles) seems to be JAL (via SPG). Are there other ways? I haven’t seen any blogger talk about this route, so curious as to stories about it.

As a comparision, the Etihad award and experience for the same routes from AUH would be interesting. It does seem that AA award redemption for this should be straightforward and availability looks pretty good.

    Thanks,
    Tom
