I am trying to make a last-minute award booking on Emirates. I dont have any Skywards miles but have enough Amex MR points to transfer and complete a booking. I see 2 seats available for the exact routing I have in mind, on the Qantas website but when I call EK(or use their website), I dont see availability for that date.
Has anyone had this experience where EK is releasing more seats to partners than to its own programs?
Unfortunately, Qantas does not partner with Amex or Chase, so I dont have a way of quickly transferring points there to complete the reservation (I only have a few thousand TYP, which is the only currency that transfers to QF).
