CX to Bali through Mileage Plan?
Does anyone know if it’s possible to travel from the US to Indonesia on Cathay by redeeming miles on Alaska? Most blogs assume Indonesia is in Asia, thus 50K in biz or 70K in first. But the chart calculator on Alaska lists only Korean or Fiji as carriers flying to Indonesia. Hoping I’m wrong here and I’m just missing something.

Indonesia is in Asia. o_O Whether CX flies there or awards are available through Alaska is another issue. And CX does fly to Jakarta and Densapar. Maybe call Alaska?

So when searching on Mileage Plan’s website for awards to Asia and then selecting Southeast Asia as the region under Narrow Results I get Korean and JAL as offering awards and not Fiji. I would assume 😀 that Indonesia would be classified as Southeast Asia given the options provided, but perhaps I am wrong.
I’d check for availability on flights operated by Cathay Pacific, and call Alaska. Flights operated by Cathay Dragon are not bookable with Alaska award miles.
