Cathay First Class

Hey,

Whats the best city to try and book a first class award from/to Usa to india in cathay first using alaska miles. I need to go to india in november and come back in january. I have enough miles for 1 way first class.

Any help would be appreciated!

I believe JFK is the only airport where all CX flights have First Class. However, nowadays Cathay doesnt really release First class seats until 24-36 hours before departure. You might get lucky and find a seat a few days further out from that but I think it’s rare. If you dont want to book last minute, try to book a business class seat now and then pay the $125 fee to change the class of service when it opens up.You can also add a domestic AS segment to the award if necessary

All CX flights to ORD (1 a day ;)) have First Class on the 777-300ER

Oops, I must have missed that. I do know that cities that have multiple CX flights per day have some that dont have an F cabin. Also, EWR’s CS daily doesnt have F. I dont think BOS/YYZ has it but that could have changed.

BOS has had it since the beginning of service :). You’re right about EWR though!
