Can’t Select Seats on UAL Award
Yesterday, I booked 2 Business class award seats for Dec 2016 through the UAL website from CGN to ORD (through MUC) The first leg, CGN to MUC is on Lufthansa and coded “I” and the second leg, MUC to ORD is on UAL and coded “ZN”. I was able to find the reservation on the Luftansa website and select seats for that portion of the flight, but the UAL website will not hold my repeated seat selections. Calling UAL yielded nothing. I was told ‘wait until Oct (2016) and try again, as UAL might change equipment. HUH?? Any comments? Thank you, g3

Twice so far. Different answers both times. Can’t remember what the first answer was because IT WAS NOT…..’here let me fix that.’

[USER=1354]@gotcha3[/USER] – several weeks ago I made a UAL reservation and similarly was not able to get the website to hold my seat selection. I, too, was told the flight might have an equipment change. But about a week later I was able to go in and select my seat and – I just checked – it’s still on my reservation. So give it a few days and try it again.
