I have 220,000 points on Aeroplan. I’m having trouble finding a complete business class flight and there are almost no direct business flights available and they want 300,000 just to go to Hong Kong. Some require two stops and over 20 hours. Can I convert to another points card like cathay?

Unfortunately not. Do you have some other trips that you could use them on?

You’ll have to connect. The only non-stop options to/from HK from North America using Star Alliance/Aeroplan miles is only on United or Air Canada, the later of which imposes surcharges when redeeming on Aeroplan.

Is there a specific time you are looking to travel? Where will you depart from?
